These are two separate creative writing workshops!

Un/knowing with High Priest(x)ess: 10am-2pm
It’s Aces: 3:30pm-7:30pm

In Un/knowing with the High Priest(x)ess, we will use the secrecy and inner wisdom of the card to explore the theme of un/knowing to generate creative work through study, experimentation, collaboration and divination. The High Priest(x)ess marked with the number two in the Major Arcana, is mysterious, frank, receptive. It is engaged in the impossible and the connections between the inner and external world.
It’s Aces will work within the Minor Arcana’s very first card of each suit, the Aces. The Ace of Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles will offer different embodied and elemental paths to guide us in following our intuition, following what is new and unfamiliar. This workshop is about play, experimentation, creative practice and inspiration, fostering creative energy and manifesting creative work.
Britt Billmeyer-Finn is a poet, playwright, tarot practitioner and social worker living in Northampton, MA. She received her MFA from Mills College in 2012 and an MSW from Smith College 2018. Her first full length book, the meshes was published by Black Radish Books in 2015 and her chapbook, Slabs was published by Timeless Infinite Light in 2016. Britt has been practicing tarot for over a decade, personally and publicly as a tool for guidance and self reflection, a source of magic and manifestation and a creative pursuit.

*if you would like to sign up for both workshops, with payment of $50 or more, Threshold Academy would like to offer you a free Tarot Poem session with Britt Billmeyer-Finn and fellow poet and divinator Zoe Tuck. Tarot Poems include both a tarot reading and a spontaneous poem written through the reading as a divination token to help you hold the messages of the cards.
Once you are confirmed your workshop attendance , you will be provided with location details and I am happy to answer any questions or concerns.
Be prepared to bring whatever it is you like to write with: computer, notebook etc...
some snacks will be provided, please bring what you need in terms of nourishment
this event is at the Eastworks building in Easthampton. There are elevators and ADA compliant doors and bathrooms.
